Intake and Assessment:
Most often, it is more appropriate to have an independent therapist conduct patient intake and make the initial assessment of an employee's needs. This ensures that the employee receives the appropriate assistance when referred to the outsourced therapist. Roy Brown & Associates has a staff of licensed mental health professionals who can provide these services.

Monitoring and Audit Services:
Independent assessments of the quality of your outsourced wellness programs are the key to continued success. We can give you the information you need to determine the effectiveness of your EAP. Our mental health professionals are trained to review and analyze EAP records to determine appropriate and inappropriate assessment and treatment.

Cultural Competency:
Diversity in the workplace requires diversity in the services rendered. Culture plays an important role in the selection of a mental health professional. Roy Brown & Associates is experienced in monitoring the cultural competency of organizations conducting your EAP and in providing cultural competency training to mental health professionals who are delivering services to your employees.

Case Study in Employee Assistance Program Support
A large mental health firm located in the North Carolina area received a contract to provide child and family therapy to county Medicaid beneficiaries. The volume of work proved to be too great for the company to handle with the number of employees onboard. Roy Brown & Associates was retained as a subcontractor to conduct the intake and assessments for the Medicaid families and to monitor case work files.

Roy Brown & Associates consultants scheduled and interviewed more than 100 clients and provided assessments to the mental health firm's therapists. While the mental health firm conducted patient treatment, the treatment files were reviewed monthly by our licensed clinical therapists. In the end, the mental health firm was more productive and the county Medicaid clients received the best possible care and customer service.
